Alex turned 4 the first week of Februay. It was a three day celebration as he opened he played soccer, opened his presents and had a special dinner with our family on his birthday, celebrated with his classmate, Abby, the next day at her gymnastics birthday party, and then had celebrated with our extended family the third day! Grandma Carole worked her tail off to make a fantastic Superman cake and the family celebrated with Alex as he proclaimed that he really was turning 6 (so that he could be old enough to join Y-Tribes with Sammy and go camping with he and Daddy). He is finally beginning to admit that he is four most of the time, but it is pretty funny to see people's reactions when they ask him how old he is and hear him reply "6".
Despite "only" being 4, he has grown so much in the last year. Every day he says something that causes Joe and I to raise our eyebrows. He also is now enjoying playing soccer, playing in the snow, riding a bike, and trying almost everything that his big brother does. And of course, he still has his huge signature smile.
